She ensures that workers and others are protected from anything that may cause harm, effectively controlling any risks to injury or health that could arise in the workplace.
She is the first person to report to the office, factory, and worksite, making sure the environment is safe for work and production. Policing and instructing everyone to use the right tools and put on the right protection gears and jacket before embarking on any task.
Apart from being our first response doctor, she holds a monthly training for every staff of the company periodically on new safety measures, where she brings to limelight every aspect we have been neglecting and needs to improve to making the company a safe environment for work.
One of her training that comes to mind and has become a daily practice was the day she educated us on STEP BACK 5 X 5, which is a process that encourages workers to identify hazards associated with all tasks before starting a job. It is based on the principle of ENGAGING THE MIND BEFORE THE HANDS by stepping back 5 paces from the job.
As you can see, what’s not love about a woman who cares so much about the wellbeing of her colleagues and implements measures to save lives and properties. These and more of her public and personal achievements have earned her Hydro Marine’s Woman Crush Wednesday.
