Jetty Salvage Project for Lagos Motor Boat Club

The definition of salvage is “saving property in peril at sea and reducing environmental damage.” Salvage is also “all the actions taken aboard and ashore to resolve a marine casualty and to save property in peril at sea.”

We at Hydro Marine and Boats Services Limited also offer boat and jetty salvage services. This involves the total replacement of old jetties or fixing an existing one.

We rendered a Jetty salvage service to Lagos Motor Boat Club some time ago. They had a stationary jetty, which some of the fingers were damaged.

This process of salvaging a boat or a jetty is a very technical process that only should be embarked on by professionals. Huge machinery like cranes and badges are used for the excavation. Divers are also needed to go beneath the jetty or boat to support the crane system by attaching the crane lifting eyes on the jetty fingers or boat before it can be lifted and serviced or even in the replacement.
